How can #MeToo believe Biden?

I don’t know if Tara Reade’s allegation is true, but she has exposed #MeToo as just another left-wing hypocrisy. If Christine Blasey Ford set the standard for credible allegations, Joe Biden should concede to Bernie Sanders right now. Don’t hold your breath, because #MeToo doesn’t care about truth or justice when a pro-choice politician is the perp. BS! Democrats don’t just know Biden is innocent, any more than they knew Brett Kavanaugh was guilty.

At it’s core, #MeToo is right; end gender harassment at work and sexual predation everywhere. Equality is an American ideal that must add a new cultural construct: women can make allegations, expecting them to be considered serious in HR departments and law enforcement. This issue must transcend Democrat-only support. If non-Democrats (60% of US) see partisan loopholes, there is no way new cultural constructs replace the old constructs.

In fairness, Republicans should presume Biden’s innocence and not use #MeToo as a blunt political tool. However, their reaction was predictable after a Republican judicial nominee (Kavanaugh) was denied due process by Diane Feinstein (D-CA) and presumed guilty of teenage groping by all but one Senate Democrat. Perhaps the Joey Fingers allegation is untrue, but Democrats have only themselves to blame. This is true, and Republicans can smear with the best of them.

Common sense supports Reade as the stronger #MeToo case. Voters hold senators to higher standards than teenagers: a married father forcing “his fingers inside” a female employee is still worse than a high-school “groping” incident. Circumstances still matter: a verifiable senator’s employee is more credible than a possible teen guest at an un-chaperoned party, and Reade was assigned the legal delivery of a duffel bag to Biden, while Ford chose to hang around illegal beer-drinking.

It is D-U-M-B for #MeToo to alienate 60% of America, who’ve seen Senate Democrats presume Kavanaugh’s guilt but demand due process for Biden. Remember Senator Hirono (D-HI)? She cried on behalf of Ford for an end to “an environment where people see nothing, hear nothing and do nothing” – but endorsed Biden anyway. How is that even possible?

  • Ford’s claim is still un-corroborated, and Julie Swetnick and Michael Avenetti are now punch lines. Reade’s claim is mostly corroborated.
  • Kavanaugh’s adult hands-off reputation was confirmed by female co-workers (without exception). Biden’s adult touch-and-feels are in the public record.
  • Biden gave MSNBC talking points – Reade “should be heard, not silenced [but] if there’s a complaint, I’ve never seen it. No one has that I’m aware of” – and falsely “urged” Mika Brzezinski to review the complaint in the National Archive (it’s in the Senate archive).

Americans won’t consider #MeToo a serious change movement if it remains partisan and does not apply social constructs consistently. The rules are simple: condemn ALL bad male behavior – even in Democrats – and believe EVERY woman, regardless of politics. #MeToo should remember Democrat LBJ enlisted Republicans to pass civil-rights legislation, and at least meet the consistency standard of the pro-life movement that fights to protect (even) un-born Democrats. Go figure.
