What I saw Tuesday night is that the Democratic Party in 2025, as evinced by its leaders on Capitol Hill, is too proud and stupid to change. Their job was to show they are an alternative to Mr. Trump, and instead they showed why he won.

Peggy Noonan (The Wall Street Journal)

I voted for Trump – three times – and the pace and scope of his changes discomfit (even) me. Still, I don’t see the “constitutional crisis” that Democrats proclaim, or the “chaos” that liberal pundits predict because I remember my Bob Dylan: Don’t speak too soon for the wheel’s still in spin, for the times they are a changing. Sadly, Democrats remember their Lil Kim: Still going around saying you bad as us. How else to explain last week’s futile and stupid gestures?

On Tuesday morning, at least 22 Democrat senators tweeted the same anti-Trump post: “The Republican plan is simple. You lose and billionaires win. That is the truth.” Even CBS News mocked it as “videos created by using the same verbatim script and interstitial video to argue that President Donald Trump’s actions are exacerbating inflation.”

Tuesday evening, Rep. Al Green (D-TX) was removed by a sergeant at arms for waving his cane and yelling “you have no mandate” at the President. Other Democrats held up small paddles emblazoned with anti-Trump taunts, and all but one refused to applaud when a 13-year-old boy with brain cancer (just appointed an honorary Secret Service agent) high-fived a fatherless 18-year old boy (just awarded his dream of attending West Point).

What a bunch of jerks, and just when I thought America’s liberal party could not sink any lower, well, just click on this pitiful video featuring Democrat congresswomen from Thursday.

Now’s the time for realpolitik, not politicizing pan-partisan issues – like cutting government waste and deporting illegal-alien criminals – that are supported by a super majority of voters. To wit, Democrats politicize DOGE as a “constitutional crisis” when 83% of Americans support cutting government spending over raising taxes (source: USA/Today). Every American, especially the 71.6 million on social-security, knows the real “crisis” is the $36.5 trillion national debt.

The real “chaos” is legislators reflexively opposing down-sizing the bureaucracy, federal agencies unable to account for expenditures, air traffic controllers saddled with 80s technology, and 690,000 government workers who’ve not set foot in the office in three years. Dems can deny the election’s “mandate” all day long, but they lost the Oval Office by 2,285,000 votes, the House by 4,041,000, and 4 Senate seats.

Real leaders would want to know why only 21% of voters approve of congressional Democrats, but not Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries (probably because their approval is below 30%). America’s democracy turns on credible opposition to the party in power – not the dead cats bouncing that have even the liberal commentariat cringing.

Every media outlet has the FBI report that shows 60% of America’s violent crimes are committed by Blacks, but (new) Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) told CNN that “the people who commit 80% of the violent crimes in this country are white supremacists.” She did, and Senate Dems blocked a bill banning transgender-identifying men from women’s sports – when 80% of voters support the legislation (source: The New York Times).

This just in: a CBS poll found 76% of viewers approved of the President’s Tuesday speech AND the removal of the cane-waving Al Green (not the singer). At least two-thirds of viewers liked Trump’s plans for immigration, reducing the deficit, and levying tariffs. Those pitiful Democrats, even CNN’s poll found 69% of their viewers had a favorable reaction to Mr. Trump’s speech.

Pitiful is un-true and un-necessary fear-mongering by Democrats. Martin O’Malley (D-MD) told CNN that DOGE cuts “will likely” affect “Social Security’s fragile web of computer systems and, potentially, interrupt payments sent to more than 73 million retirees, people with disabilities and others.” Let’s unpack this breaking news from Sunday morning.

One, the President and the Speaker of the House have repeatedly stated Social Security payments won’t be affected. Two, O’Malley was Biden’s Social Security commissioner, just ran for DNC chairman, and inserted “will likely” and “potentially” before his dire predictions. Three, Elon Musk knows far more about a “fragile web of computer systems” than lifelong politician O’Malley. Who’s credible here?

Not Democrat O’Malley. Not the false-claiming, simul-tweeting, cane-waving, paddle-holding, shadow-boxing, and trans-indulging party that’s bouncing its way out of the halls of power. So, Ms. Noonan’s right: we do know why Trump won.
