Conservatives probably appreciate President Trump on many levels. But in the end, exposing abuse of power by so-called liberals should be at the top of the list. Americans deserve a government by the people and for the people. However, it is increasingly obvious the Obama-Clinton machine ignored those democratic principles, inviting at least three Spygate investigations that could send some fellow Democrats packing in a 2020 red wave.
While registered Democrats (31% of electorate) might believe any means were justified to stop or end a Trump presidency, 69 percent of the electorate (Independents and Republicans) will un-pack Russiagate and Spygate to decide who conspired to undermine the will of we the people. Ultimately, a three-step process will out the truth.
It is clear the investigations are finally pursuing Republican allegations that Democrats and their media allies conspired and coordinated to prevent and undermine a Trump presidency. And sadly – there is now a 50-50 chance the Obama White House was involved in illegal spying and leaking. If this is true, then those Dems are in deep doo-doo. Here is what we now know.
NO COLLUSION. In the end, Russiagate was a hoax. What else is a reasonable person to conclude after the Mueller investigation disproved allegations by Democrats the Trump campaign “colluded” with Russia? A reasonable person might even believe it was just politics, when Democrats called a Republican president a traitor, before the Muller report was released, but that is no longer the case.
The Mueller team found no evidence of conspiracy or coordination between Russia and anyone associated with the Trump campaign, which the average voter interprets as “exoneration” for the President. Two-thirds of the country have moved on from Russiagate. The collusion allegations were investigated, no “smoking gun” was found, and the Mueller findings have brought closure to the matter.
ANGRY DEMOCRATS. House Democrats are sending mixed signals to main-street Americans. On one day, committee chairs bang gavels, issue subpoenas and talk impeachment in anger. On another day, the House Speaker talks of moderation and bipartisanship – because they cannot indict and the Senate will block impeachment. Partisan political theater angers voters in swing states; so, of course, Democrats included actor John Cusack in their non-stop reading of the Mueller report (in session). Woo-hoo!
To the average voter, congressional oversight is important but not paramount: legislatures are supposed to legislate. Furthermore, back-and-forth arguments over executive privilege and congressional oversight are just mumbo-jumbo on Main Street. America’s liberal party is providing damaging sound bites to its 2020 opponents. For example, Nancy Pelosi’s fact-free allegations of a Trump “cover-up” will not play well in swing districts
THE REPUBLICANS STRIKE BACK. Spygate is a big deal because it is not a “hoax” or “witch hunt” with today’s DOJ and FBI leadership. With 2020 ahead, Republicans have Russiagate behind them and a robust “investigation of the investigation” underway. Attorney General Barr fired the first shot, stunning Senate Democrats with his statement that “spying did occur” against candidate Trump. Last Friday, he told Fox News host Bill Hemmer that “some very strange developments” took place between Trump’s election and inauguration. Barr sounds like a man on a mission.
There are at least three different investigations into Spygate, and the evidence will ultimately result in a “what did Obama know and when did he know it” bombshell. Let’s go back to an Oval Office meeting on January 5, 2017, when Barack Obama, Joe Biden, James Comey, James Clapper, Susan Rice and Sally Yates prepared a national-security briefing, which Comey, Clapper, and John Brennan presented the next day to the president-elect in New York City. If you think Obama’s senior team was preparing a proper hand-off of national security threats, then you’d be wrong.
In January 2017, real national security threats existed with ISIS and North Korea, as well as those damned election-meddling Russians, but the Oval Office discussion focused on the “pee tape” and Trump (the infamous Steele dossier). Circumstantial evidence suggests foul play. It is a fact that Obama’s political action committee had paid Perkins Coie $800,000 the year before. It is a fact that Perkins Coie was the law firm used by the DNC to funnel money to Fusion GPS to produce the Russian dossier. It is a fact that, by January 5, James Comey (FBI) knew the dossier was suspect, had been leaked to a reporter, and been used to justify FISA warrants. Oops!
These are the facts and they are indisputable…as is the last minute un-masking of names…as is the Brennan leak of the dossier to Senator Harry Reid (D-NV)…as is Susan Rice’s 2018 claim to Congress that “there was no discussion of Christopher Steele or the Steele dossier” in the Oval Office meeting…as is the contradictory Lynch-Comey congressional testimony (Comey claims he was instructed to call the Clinton investigation a “matter” and Lynch claims she “didn’t direct anyone to use specific phraseology”).
The claims and counter-claims coming from Obama’s subordinates do not square. Will the evidence lead to Brennan, Clapper, Clinton, Comey, Lynch, McCabe, Obama, Powers, Rice and Yates in a deposition-grand jury nightmare? Hard to say, but if a fraction of that group is found guilty of inappropriate spying and/or illegal leaking, then 2020 is going to end with a merry red-state Christmas.
