Why do elite Americans cheat?

Have you noticed media elites trying to destroy Tucker Carlson (Fox News)? OMG – he made inappropriate comments on Bubba the Love Sponge’s radio show ten years ago. Media Matters (Carlson’s primary antagonist) has already waged “Stop Rush” and “Stop Beck” campaigns to cheers from so-called liberals. The moral support is probably ill-deserved because Angelo Carusone (president of Media Matters) once wrote that another man was “adorable despite his Jewry” and ranted about a man robbed by “a gang of transvestites” (source: The Hill). I doubt Carusone is really bother by what Carlson said to some drive-time shock jock.

This battle began last December, when Carlson accused Washington’s elites of failing we the people. He urged everyday people to themselves become woke. His message was pointed and damaging: 2019 coastal elites are no better than 1959 Dixiecrats. Ouch! Carlson suggests elitism and classism are responsible for both Trump voters and Sanders supporters. This makes sense because political consultants found record-high levels of anger in 2016, which transcended region or demography.  After the recent college-admissions scam, I expect to see growing numbers of angry everyday people.

I see little happening to dissuade support for either Trump or Sanders. Sanders and his socialist populism appeal to a liberal angry mob that believes elite capitalists are the problem. Trump and his reactionary populism appeal to a conservative angry mob that believes elite apparatchiks are the problem. Washington is in for a rude awakening, because real evidence suggests the American Dream is rigged against everyday people. As a political matter, the 2020 election is a ticking time bomb.

When Barack Obama left office, minorities and low-income Democrats were left with under-performing schools, low household incomes, and a more-divided country. Their “issues” were superseded by other issues: global warming, global alliances and LGBTQ rights. According to Candice Owens and Kanye West, inner-city Blacks wanted more from Obama and took it out on Hillary Clinton – by staying home.

West and Owens explain Clinton was a “poor” lean-forward choice for African-Americans, who were disappointed by the Obama presidency that did not provide gainful employment. In fact, West suggests Obama waged a class war against all low-income Americans, wearing a MAGA hat because Trump is West’s role model for black entrepreneurs.

The backlash from liberal elites against Kanye West was outrageous because, as the 2020 election approaches, President Trump promises record-low black unemployment, while Senators Booker (D-NJ) and Harris (D-CA) promise record-low carbon emissions. I suspect two of those politicians are taking black votes for granted – and who isn’t angered by not being heard?

Senator John McCain (R-AZ) angered conservative Republicans when he denounced candidate Trump as dishonest and un-supportable. Not only did McCain accuse President Trump of secret ties to Russia, he cast the “nay” vote that broke his party’s campaign promise to repeal Obamacare. McCain proclaimed his motives were virtuous, but looked mighty lonely in his patriotic and bipartisan perfection. He could have worked with his party’s president (like Lindsay Graham), but McCain’s “moral compass” would not let him. Rubbish!

Court records now reveal McCain was a co-conspirator in the never-Trump cabal, proving he lied when he denied being Buzzfeed’s source for the Fusion-GPS dossier. According to testimony from the McCain Institute’s David Kramer, Glenn Simpson chose the Republican senator to give the Russian dossier “a little more oomph” in the eyes of the FBI, and McCain personally gave the dossier to the FBI. Furthermore, the two-faced Republican was all in on Kramer giving the dossier to Obama’s staff (Celeste Wallender and Victoria Nuland) and leaking it to Buzzfeed, CNN and the Washington Post. It appears those deplorable Republicans were right about McCain all along.

Everyday people are increasingly becoming woke to the crimes and misdemeanors committed to prevent or end a Trump presidency, beginning with deep state “insurance policies” to protect Hillary Clinton from charges of gross negligence (a felony) as secretary of state. To wit, Lisa Page testified under oath the Obama-era DOJ told the FBI they were “not going to charge gross negligence because we’re the prosecutors and we’re telling you we’re not bringing a case based on that” (source: Fox News). The “insurance policy” was Loretta Lynch instructing James Comey to call the Clinton investigation a “matter” and replacing gross negligence with “extreme carelessness.” When do everyday people get such a deal?

The college-admissions scandal/crime might be THE wake-up call for middle-class Americans, whose boys lift all those weights and daughters spend hours practicing the clarinet to earn football and band scholarships – on top of studying hard. I live in forgotten America, and the water cooler is now abuzz with anger. 2020 will not be a good year to run on elite ideas like abolishing ICE. But – – don’t expect Washington elites like (faux Cherokee) Elizabeth Warren to change.

Kanye West is angry because Obama offered only lip service, but elites don’t care. He is just a rapper without a Yale diploma. Angel moms are angry because Bill DiBlasio created a sanctuary city, but elites don’t care. These mothers don’t know which fork to use at a black-tie dinner. Union households are frightened by Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal, but elites don’t care. The workers are under-sophisticated and don’t know what they need.

All humor aside, Main Street is increasingly woke to Wall Street and Silicon Valley elites, and the emotional response is anger. You can bet 2020 is going to be an angry election year. Widespread violence is a real possibility. As I wrote earlier, Washington is sitting on a ticking time bomb.
