How is it liberal to trust everybody voting but nobody boarding an airplane, or progressive to take weeks to count 200,000 Alaskan votes when Americans transmit 500 million tweets a day? Seriously, because opinions tweeted about the midterms have already surpassed the votes counted from – or cast in – the actual election. No wonder citizens question the legitimacy of their elections; the lies precede the results!

Is our democracy still for the people when a sliver of partisans decide which ballot signatures and social media posts/tweets are allowed? Gone are the days of statesmen, who put we the people before themselves to ensure a government of the people – replaced by politicians, who put themselves before we the people to obtain position and hold onto power. No wonder Republicans suspect Biden of election fraud, and Democrats suspect Trump of treason.

Right now, Democrats campaign against GOP election deniers as if the COVID Election of 2020 was above suspicion, or that they did not call “illegitimate” the 2016 presidential and 2018 Georgia gubernatorial elections. No joke, so I have three questions for Joe Biden and his followers:

  1. Isn’t it human nature to call “foul” when one’s side loses a close election?
  2. Wouldn’t it have been better for Trump’s mob to vent on social media instead of riot at the Capitol?
  3. If denials truly threaten our democracy, why do both parties deny the other side’s victories?

Millions of Republicans decrying Biden’s election did not threaten the USA – no more than millions of Bills fans decrying the Music City Miracle threatened the NFL in 2000. A good analogy, because the NFL acts every year to eliminate fan skepticism by changing rules and updating technology. If Biden was a statesman, he’d ask the NFL why they work non-stop toward credible outcomes. Duh!

Because NFL owners and players know the “health of the league” is central to their pursuit of happiness. Try getting folks to bet $100 billion, and advertisers to spend $4.4 billion, a year on “fixed” NFL games. Think the league wants kooks mugging game officials after “bogus” calls, or players tweeting “I was robbed” to millions of young fans? Thus, players are properly identified, action is closely monitored, challenged plays are limited, and games don’t go on forever.

One should want our democracy to work so well. Consider just the NFL mandates that legitimize who’s on the field. A team must disclose injuries days before and game-day rosters hours before kick-off. Jerseys must be correctly named and numbered, and players must “report as eligible” if wearing a lineman’s number. It is called “transparency” and it promotes fairness – like requiring a photo-ID to vote (and voting only one time in one precinct) – that benefits every honest stakeholder.

Gallup found a super-majority of citizens support requiring a photo-ID to vote, including 81% of non-whites (whom Democrats claim to protect). Still, Dems insist the requirement suppresses votes, and Biden has not ordered the government to provide a photo-ID to every US citizen.

He could, and it’d make more sense than (illegally) forgiving up to 43 million student loans. Could it be these so-called liberals think the fog of war helps their party win elections? It sure looks that way.

According to (left-leaning) Project Vote, 93% of eligible voters had a photo-ID in 2015, and only three “groups” were below 90%: Blacks (87%), those below age 25 (89%), and those making under $25,000 (88%). Using Project Vote’s math, 18 million citizens need a photo ID. Using common sense, Biden could easily supply 18 million photo-IDs before 2024. All dumb-ass Trump did was develop a COVID vaccine in one year, and administer 5.7 million shots in one month – so why isn’t Biden fixing a simple problem?

Because candidate Biden does NOT want to solve the problem. His political handlers have told him WHO does have a photo-ID; 95% of whites, 96% of folks over age 65, and 98% of those with annual incomes over $150,000. It is called “identity politics” and it promotes a far-left narrative; rich old white dudes are oppressors, and poor young black dudes are victims. It’s what Democrats say to ensure a trance of obedience from its most loyal voting bloc.

If Joe Biden were capable of intellectual honesty, he’d thank God more rioters did not show up at the Capitol, rather than act holier than thou. His MAGA-bashing is not a solution to saving democracy, nor is Trump refusing defeat. Both foster a cynical divide. You want solutions? Go to Florida, where they counted 7.5 million votes in 5 hours – not California, where they are still counting.

Check out the GOP share of Florida’s voting blocs: 55% of urban, 58% of suburban, 69% of rural, 52% of women, 61% of married couples, 63% of men, 53% of independents, 60% of voters 45 and older, 57% of Hispanics, and 65% of whites. Only 13% of black vote – what did they miss that everybody else saw?

Republicans are right about making it easier to vote and harder to cheat. Election integrity is a battle they must win – and nobody loses. If you have doubts, come on down to Florida!
