The Herschel Walker senate campaign is an insult to Black people. What Republicans want from their negroes is to do what they’re told. He’s an animated caricature of a Black person drawn by white conservatives.

Elie Mystal (MSNBC)

If you left it to black radical Elie Mystal (see quote above), Herschel Walker would remain in rural Georgia out of sight and out of mind. The two black men could not be more different. Mystal went to Harvard, where he learned to carry a grudge. Walker went to Georgia, where he learned to carry a football. This year, Mystal has called out whites to shame them, while Walker has called on whites to vote for him. Which man embodies the dream of Dr. King?

As a child, Walker was overweight and bullied, and grew into an All-American running back and NFL player. So, he knows trash talk when he hears it: “The media and Democrats are engaging in trash talk; Republican candidates are weak, Biden has had great success, their fundraising is a huge advantage, we can’t win back the Senate.”

Gee, for a man called “unintelligent” by black liberals, Mr. Walker has sharp BS radar: “None of this is true. It’s an intimidation tactic to scare conservative donors away, suppress enthusiasm, and discourage Republican voters. Primary voters chose [candidates who] are not politicians – an asset in the general election since the politicians in charge have made such a terrible mess.”

And on the subject of animated caricatures: “Biden’s ‘success’ has made us unsafe, weak, woke, and broke. The media spin won’t work. People know the truth. They feel the truth in their wallets every single day.” Think Walker knows why Biden’s disapproval among very likely Georgia voters is 57% (source: Emerson College poll)?

Further, Walker’s campaign is NO “insult” to Black people: “Democrats are raising a lot of money – from out of state – but out-of-state donors can’t vote in Georgia. I’ll take votes over dollars any day. Everyday voters are sick of the crime, chaos at the border, sky-high food and gas prices, weakness abroad, and out-of-control government spending.” That’s called staying on message.

Walker also knows how his campaign can succeed: “I’m seeing huge crowds of people on the campaign trail that are upset at what Democrats have done to this country in just a couple of years. By the way, the people in these crowds don’t talk to pollsters. They quietly go about their business, but they vote! The power belongs to the people, just like our Founding Fathers intended. They see us as the last best hope to save the country from a group of people who are doing their best to destroy it.”

Republicans cannot afford to get complacent, but this is a change election in which Warnock’s incumbency should be a liability. The Emerson poll is not gospel, but it was released on August 30 and has Walker (R) leading Warnock (D) 46% to 44%. The greater significance is buried in the poll’s details:

  • Walker has a 9-point lead in the suburbs and 34-point lead with rural voters (don’t they know they’re supposed to be racists?)
  • All voters favor GOP House candidates by 5 points and Governor Kemp (R) by 4 points
  • Warnock has a 31-point lead with urban voters – where young votes (18-34) matter – and 66% of younger voters now disapprove of Biden

Democrats and their media allies want Georgians to ignore two straight quarters of shrinking GDP and believe Republicans are “semi-fascists” when the polls open in November. That’s asking a lot after two years of bad news at home (rising crime and prices) and abroad (China and Russia). I’m pretty sure that’s why the left flank wants Georgians to look down on Herschel Walker. Wait a minute! Isn’t that a micro-aggression?
