Here's your insurrection!

The Department of Homeland Security, monitoring social media, fears those “forgotten Americans” described in Hillbilly Elegy. The Wall Street Journal’s Peggy Noonan can’t move past the January 6th “insurrection” to explain what’s going on with Democrat governors Cuomo (NY), Newsom (CA), and McAuliffe (VA). DHS and Noonan should fear the elite vanguard that’s living a double standard. The hypocrisy is sickening.

When Cuomo’s own party’s talking impeachment, and his victims were credible and numerous, Noonan went with the “crazy” angle. She’s ignored Gavin Newsom, whose support fell to 46% after banning social gatherings and dining out maskless with political bagmen, and Terry McAuliffe, whose support for critical race theory dropped him into a statistical tie with his GOP challenger. Democrats in trouble in blue states? Not a peep from Noonan.

Noonan’s right to condemn citizens storming the Capitol, but wrong to ignore what frightened the rioters, especially in light of today’s rising crime, border crisis, and return of COVID. Obsessed with Trump and the Capitol riots, she’s missing the biggest conservative movement since the Reagan “revolution” that made her. If the rioters suspected election fraud, feared the worst, and copied Antifa‘s example, it should worry everyone. It’s pretty scary out there.

Globalism has hurt millions of Americans, who blame the White House. Bill Clinton did not foresee how factories closed by cheap Chinese imports would crush workers in North Carolina. George Bush did not care to see how illegal immigration lowered wages throughout the Sunbelt. Obama never considered how closed factories robbed patients from dentists in fly-over America. Georgians just saw global brands (Nike) bow to communists in China and attack fairly-elected legislators.

Rising crime equals rising fear, which is why there were over 8 million firearm sales to first-time gun buyers in 2020, plus 22 million FBI background checks for gun purchases in the first half of 2021 (source: Newsweek). Democrats like Rep. Cori Bush call for police defunding, tell critics to “suck it up” and insist on taxpayer-funded security details. Such arrogance is scary and why the residents of Buckhead want to secede from crime-infested Atlanta. Meanwhile, troubled families in Ohio know Chinese opioids came across the southern border.

The real “existential threat” is COVID. Small businesses in California blame the “China virus” for reduced sales and profits. 10.8 million landlords just learned they’ll go 18 months without rental incomes, despite local laws forcing them to maintain rent-free properties. 19% of US parents had to stay at home with school-age kids, where they could see how they were taught. Their children are now six months behind the learning curve. If that doesn’t scare you, nothing else will.

So, where does this leave America? With the governed not trusting the governors, Trump in the past, and increasingly angry. The view here is President Trump failed – rather than incited – the rioters. He promised to make America great again, but his bluster and tariffs did not slow the rise of China. He promised to drain the swamp, but couldn’t stop Democrats from “stealing” two Georgia Senate seats. That begat despair that’s not going away.

Consider what the mayor of Billings (MT) said: his city is growing with new residents who want to live with “like minded” Montanans. Relocating because of politics is preferable to storming the Capitol, but it is still a drastic step that proves left-wing bullies are scaring their fellow Americans. The point here is that humans flee (relocate to Billings) or fight (storm the Capitol) when they feel threatened, and Democrats are scaring up a new GOP majority.

The dominant conservative movement, America First, is growing. In 1992, it gave Ross Perot 19.8 million votes, and gave Donald Trump 74 million votes in 2020. The dominant progressive movement, Black Lives Matter (BLM), has stalled with only 42% of all Americans supporting it now (source: Yahoo/YouGov). That’s down from 67% in June 2020 (source: Pew Research). Joe Biden hates the MAGA hats and TRUMP signs, but he shouldn’t ignore the numbers.

When Biden called 74 million Republicans the “greatest threat to our Democracy” in 160 years, he sounded crazy. That was his inner politician quoting the identity-politics call sheet: Republicans are white supremacists, cultural neanderthals, and barriers to upward mobility. That might work against Trump, but not against Nikki Haley or Tim Scott. America First seeks resurrection – not insurrection – and promotes citizenship, morality and opportunity.

Putting America first means citizenship – not white skin – especially for 86.9% of Americans who are native-born. They form the cultural center that’s united by national pastimes (Friday night football) and traditions (Thanksgiving at grandma’s) – and America’s popular culture is derivative yet inclusive. 91% of black citizens are native born and 85% of Blacks (highest of any race) want fewer immigrants (source: Harvard-Harris). Still, Dems insist “the wall” is a con to preserve a white majority.

Putting America first celebrates the morality of Christianity (foundation of US criminal codes) and cuts across racial lines. When Obama left office, 79% of Blacks, 77% of Latinos, and 70% of Whites described themselves as “Christians” (source: Pew Research). Thus, James Cliburn (D-SC) cringed when Kamala Harris posted bail for Antifa arsonists, and Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) groaned when Rashida Tlaib spewed anti-Semitic vitriol in Congress.

Putting America first means exploiting American bounty (energy independence) and opportunity (GDP growth) – not hand-outs and equal outcomes. Look at the reasons for coming to the US one million immigrants tell the State Department every year: 85% sought gainful employment and 71% sought better education, while only 5% sought diversity or equity (source: USA Facts). Putting America first, above all, means preserving the American Dream.

How is it even possible to deny the importance of citizenship, morality, and opportunity if one truly intends to restore “the rule of order” and “decency” to government? That’s what candidate Biden promised and the President has not done. Now, with approval sinking, he’s running scared and needs make-believe monsters (those “Jim Crow” guys) – because he’s on the clock (2022 is not that far off). So, look at the picture atop this article.

Those are Arizona moms pictured, protesting against their kids being indoctrinated, rather than educated. Are they evil…examples of white fragility…a bunch of Karens? Probably not, but certainly no physical threat to Nancy Pelosi. Now, look at the tee shirt on the mom on your right: Love Not Hate Makes America Great. I’m on her side, which is where every Democrat should be.
