As of this writing, the GOP gained in the House, will hold the Senate, and smells a rat in the presidential count. This afternoon, Joe Biden gave a presidential speech that was quite good – except he’s not yet secured the job. If you’re into conspiracies, this one’s a doozy, which is why Jay Sekulow was at the Supreme Court today.

Sekulow, of course, is Trump’s victorious lawyer from the Mueller investigation and House impeachment. He also prevailed in four other Democrat Get Trump schemes (e.g. getting tax records). He spoke to reporters today about evidence of election tampering, which is why the Trump campaign is contesting results in several states. The guess here is that Biden will be the next president, but that doesn’t mean state Democrats were on the up and up.

Why should Trump’s supporters believe Democrat election officials in blue states? After Hillary’s role in Russiagate, Biden’s knowledge (and denial) of spying on the Trump campaign, the Mueller probe, Pelosi-led impeachment, anything Adam Schiff said, and lots of “anonymous” dirt on President Trump, faith has been broken. Joe Biden knowingly spoke in his darkest hour: don’t accept a Trump victory because I’m winning Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. Later, Trump claimed Democrats were trying to “steal the election.” The folks on Main Street sigh, here we go again.

And so the results aren’t final, and the lawyers are gathered (to create more confusion). However, what we do know is this: the national polling organizations were wrong again. The so-called experts predicted a blue wave that didn’t happen: Republicans held every state house. Bloomberg wasted $100 million not winning Florida – and some idiots poured $200 million into Kentucky and South Carolina to not defeat McConnell and Graham.

If you’re a right-thinking Republican, see the longer game. Assume Trump loses, Republicans hold the Senate, Democrats slip in the House and at the state level. The markets are already applauding four years of divided government – and why is that? Trump did what WAS NEEDED and can ride off like the Lone Ranger.

  • Republicans held serve in red states across America, meaning the great blue re-districting wave did not happen. In 2020, this is especially important, because conservative sunbelt states are growing – and liberal snowbelt states are shrinking.
  • A Republican Senate is the firewall to court-packing, entitlement-passing, and tax-raising Biden. I think he’s a center-left pol at heart, and this gives him the cover he needs to be more JFK and less FDR.
  • A 6-3 conservative Supreme Court will do the real heavy lifting before 2024, which is reining in power-mad bureaucrats and rogue federal judges – and Congress cannot impeach (see above).
  • Biden is left the burden of COVID (which he cannot solve) and deficits (which can only grow). Any dip in GDP or market values will be on his watch. Think of Trump as a Nixon disposition (not liked), which makes Biden a Jimmy Carter.
  • Somewhere the sun is shining on the next GOP president, who learned all she (or he) needs to know from Trump. The next America-First Republican will be the best of Reagan (smooth) and Trump (tough).

100 years from now, if America stays the moderate course, historians will remember 2016 as the birth of compassionate patriotism. Started by goofy Ross Perot, who cared about working Americans. Galvanized by the Tea Party, which cared about tax-paying Americans. Energized by Donald Trump, who took on self-serving Washington. By 2024, America will be ready for the next change candidate – one way or another.
