Their constituents are rioting - and why?

Boy, I hope urban voters heed the business axiom that the people who got you in trouble won’t get you out of trouble, and reject the Democrats that created the hot mess in America’s inner cities. Hopefully, BLEXIT woos black voters away from the Democrat party and Charlamagne tha God keeps hammering Joe Biden. Behind the cloud of identity politics lies the truth: incompetent liberals – not local cops – have hurt black communities.

The buck stops here – on the chief executive’s desk. The link between 22 riot-torn cities in 20 states is 100% Democrat state and local leaders (source: USCB). Here’s the inconvenient truth in Minneapolis: a white cop killed a black suspect, rioters burned a police station, and businesses were looted. In contrast, Miami’s larger and browner population held “protests [that] have been largely peaceful [and] subsequently smaller [with] few arrests” (source: Miami Herald). Miami also has a Republican mayor and governor.

In 55 years, Democrats haven’t fixed the “systemic” problems blacks face. BLEXIT’s Candace Owens begged House Democrats to fix what causes black crime and poverty: (1) bad schools, (2) absent fathers, and (3) illegal immigration. Too bad Democrats kinda-sorta created these problems:

  • Public employee pensions siphon money from education. In annual pay comparisons: a NYC teacher retires to $69,000 but a new teacher starts at $58,000; a Miami teacher retires to $20,000 but a new teacher starts at $48,000. Ranking public schools, Florida is 3rd and New York is 22nd (source: US News)
  • High state and local taxes and intrusive state regulations drive off good factory jobs that incent black fathers to stay with sons and pay child support.
  • Creating sanctuary cities invites illegal immigrants, who rob service jobs and suppress wages for non-college educated blacks.

Democrat-Union symbiosis is the “systemic” bad-cop problem. It’s on the record that pro-Democrat unions protect cops from oversight boards and investigatory commissions, which are picked by D-E-M-O-C-R-A-T-S. MPR reported on this crooked ecosystem in 2018: money flowed to Minnesota Governor Walts ($200,000) and Minneapolis Mayor Frey (undisclosed) from AFSCME. Every year, public employee unions give $68 million to (and vote for) Democrat mayors and governors to look after police interests – like no suspensions or convictions.

Scared Democrats have a new deplorable group: Police. George Floyd suffered a cruel and unusual death that isn’t the first video of a white cop killing a black suspect. It just triggered the first Democrat offer of defunding and disbanding police forces. Because Democrats appointed the top cops and prosecutors on Black Lives Matter’s sh*t list – and these same Democrats allowed protests to become riots – this feels like 1968 all over again.

In this scenario, Democrats fear losing black votes they need in 2020; so, they’re willing to lump law enforcement into the basket of deplorables. Black voters are convinced systemic racism is a big problem. Will enough white voters agree, in spite of this 2019 FBI data?

  • 65% (240 million) of police contacts with civilians are responses to 911 calls and, because blacks commit 60% of the robberies and 54% of the known homicides, police contact more black suspects.
  • Of 375 million police-civilian contacts, only 1,004 resulted in fatal shootings by police.
  • Of 1,004 fatal police shootings, 522 white suspects died, compared to 235 black suspects.

The FBI data aligns with a 2019 National Academy of Science study that found “no significant evidence of anti-black disparity in the likelihood of being fatally shot by police” – and a 2015 study by Obama’s DOJ that found “white police officers were less likely than black or Hispanic to shoot a black suspect.” The Democrat dilemma is appeasing black voters without losing Bill Clinton’s soccer moms.

After 55 years, what have black voters to show? Democrats under-funded educational equality by over-funding public pensions, hurt black incomes with taxes and anti-factory regulations, and diluted black incomes/votes by creating sanctuary cities. Republicans have the cure: (1) turn all public pensions into 401K plans and shift the savings into public schools, (2) cut business taxes and regulations to bring back manufacturing jobs, and (3) put native-born black citizens before illegal immigrants. This is the BLEXIT argument – and it makes sense.
